Introduction:
Ragi milkshake/Finger millet milkshake is an easy and
healthy drink made with Ragi/finger millet, cocoa powder and milk. Ragi is a
wonder grain. It is packed with calcium, good carbohydrates, amino acids,
natural iron, vitamin D and is rich in fiber. Traditional recipes like Ragi kanji
(porridge), Ragi adai, Ragi mudde (balls), Ragi kali…..are made with this millet.
Some modern spins on Ragi are Ragi biscuits, cakes, milkshakes ...When powdered
Ragi is cooked, the colour resembles chocolate, so it can be easily sneaked
into cakes, evening snacks(vada, pakoda, murukku....).Ragi milkshake is one such
recipe. It is wholesome and full of nutrients. If your kids are bored of the
regular Ragi porridge, this is the best alternative. And I am sure kids as well
as adults will enjoy this Ragi milkshake.
