Introduction:
Prawns stir fried in a spicy, sticky and
flavourful sauce. This is a quick and easy to make dish, but super delicious. This can be served as an
appetizer or paired with fried rice, noodles.

Ingredients:

|
Prawns (cleaned and deveined)
|
200 gms
|
Ginger
|
1/2 inch piece (finely chopped)
|
Garlic
|
4 cloves (finely chopped)
|
Soya sauce
|
1 tsp
|
Tomato chilli sauce
|
2 tsp
|
Pepper powder
|
1/4 tsp
|
Chilly flakes
|
1/4 tsp
|
Salt
|
a pinch
|
Water
|
2 tbsp
|
Oil
|
1 and 1/2 tbsp
|
Garnishing:
|
|
Spring onions (green part)
|
1 tbsp chopped
|
Green chilly
|
1/2 tbsp chopped
|
Toasted sesame seeds (white)
|
1/2 tbsp
|
Method:
- Take 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a pan. When hot add prawns add fry (2 min)
- Drain off as soon as prawns turn pink
- Keep it aside
- In the same pan add 1/2 tbsp sesame oil and add chopped ginger and garlic
- Fry (1 min).Pour 2 tbsp of water, soya sauce and tomato chilli sauce
- Keep on low heat and allow it to boil .The sauce thickens
- Sprinkle salt and pepper powder. Add in the fried prawns
- Add chilly flakes and stir fry (1 min)
- Remove from heat
- Garnish with chopped spring onions (green part), chopped green chillies and toasted sesame seeds
- And serve immediately
Notes:
- A dash of vinegar can be added for a little fresh acidity
- Do not overcook prawns while frying
- Garnishing is optional
