Method:
- Take water in a sauce pan and heat it. When it starts to boil add sago/javvarisi/Sabudana and boil for 5 to 7 mins (medium flame).Stir occasionally
- Switch off heat .Cover and soak it for 15 min .After 15 min sago is cooked and turns transparent
- Drain and rinse with water. Keep it aside
- In a blender jar add chopped mangoes, sugar, milk and coconut milk .Blend until smooth
- Transfer to a bowl and add cooked sago/javvarisi. Mix well and chill it for at least 1 hour
- If you feel the mix is a bit thick you can add 1 or 2 tsp coconut milk or milk
- Serve in individual bowls and garnish with chopped mangoes
- Drizzle milk or coconut milk on top and serve
Notes:
- Use mangoes that are fully ripe and fibreless
- You can skip milk and add 1/4 cup of coconut milk
- It is ok if you see white dots(in the middle) in few of the cooked sago /javvarisi ,but if most of them are not cooked properly you can add two cups of hot boiling water to it ,cover and soak for another 10 mins
- Adjust consistency by adding more milk or coconut milk (if needed)
