Homemade Chocolate cake pre-mix



Introduction:
This Homemade Chocolate cake mix is very easy to make and can be stored in your pantry for baking quick, soft, super moist & delicious chocolate cakes in a jiffy. Serves: Makes a 6 inch cake/ 7 to 8 cup cakes
Ingredients:

Chocolate cake pre-mix:

All purpose flour / Maida
3/4 cup / 90 gms
Castor sugar / fine sugar
(Or grind sugar to a coarse powder)
3/4 cup / 150 gms

Cocoa powder
1/4 cup / 30 gms
Milk powder
3 tbsp
Baking powder
1/2 tsp
Baking soda
1/2 tsp
Salt
1/4 tsp
To bake cake:

Eggs
2
Oil (any neutral flavored oil) / refined oil
1/4 cup / 60 ml
Water
1/2 cup / 120 ml
Vanilla essence
1/2 tsp
For eggless cakes:

Replace eggs with yogurt / curd
1/2 cup
Method:
  1. In a bowl mix all purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt
  2. Mix well without lumps and store in an airtight container or zip lock pouch or bag
  3. Baking cake with pre-made chocolate cake mix:
  4. In a deep bowl whisk eggs until frothy. Add oil, water and vanilla essence
  5. Whisk well and then add the chocolate cake pre-mix
  6. Whisk until well combined (Do not over-mix the batter)
  7. You can bake a 6 inch cake with this batter or 7 to 8 cup cakes
  8. Bake at 180 degree C (20 to 25 mins for cake) (15 to 20 mins for cupcakes)
  9. Or you can bake the cake in a kadai or pressure cooker
  10. You can frost or glaze the cake (optional)

Notes:
  • You can double or triple the ingredients to make larger cakes or make two to three batches and store it
  • You can store it for two months (if stored properly in an airtight container or zip lock bag in a cool and dry place) or just store it in the freezer (it will last even longer)
