- In a kadai/pan heat oil .When hot add chopped onions, a little salt and fry until soft
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry until no raw smell
- Then add chopped tomatoes and fry until soft and mushy
- Add the cleaned crabs and fry for 2 mins on medium flame
- Now add the ground coconut paste and a little water(do not add too much water- as the crab meat will ooze out water which is more than enough for it to cook)
- Check salt and if needed add more
- Boil for 2 mins on medium flame and then add drumstick leaves
- Mix well and allow it boil on medium flame until gravy thickens (7 to 10 mins – by this time the crabs will be cooked)
- Sprinkle pepper powder, mix well and switch off the stove
- Crab masala is ready to serve

Notes:
- I have used dried drumstick leaves, you can use fresh leaves or dried leaves whichever is available
